Cornish Blue beat 2,600 cheeses from around the globe to be crowned World Champion at the prestigious 2010 World Cheese Awards.
Called Cornwall’s answer to Gorgonzola, this velvety soft, sweetly mild, mellow blue has been hand-made on Philip and Carol Stansfield’s family farm since 2001 in the quaint, historic market village of Liskeard, Cornwall.
Cornwall is known for its enchanting natural beauty, picturesque coastline and a climate perfect for sustaining the lush, green pastures responsible for Cornish Blue’s unique depth of flavor and enticing aroma.
Cornish Blue is made each day solely from the fresh milk of Stansfield farm’s own herd of Fresian cows by just two cheesemakers. Each cheese is carefully wrapped in foil with a label highlighting some of Cornish Blue’s many awards.
