Award-winning Wexford Mature Irish Cheddar is made in County Wexford– known as Ireland’s “Sunny Southeast” for receiving more hours of daily sunshine than anywhere else in the country.
More sun rays means ever more fertile and greener fields on which Wexford free range cows can graze for ten months out of the year. These fine cows produce the highest quality, freshest milk which, in turn, makes incredible Cheddar (something Wexford Creamery knows quite a lot about).
Since being established in 1959, Wexford Creamery has been renowned for their award-winning, traditional Irish Cheddars, made solely from locally sourced milk. Wexford Creamery’s extraordinary relationships with area farmers, along with their strict quality controls, consistently set industry standards.
Awarded the Kerrygold Cup for being “Best Irish Mature” and taking Gold in Nantwich’s Extra Mature Category (to just name a few honors) Wexford Mature Cheddar is smooth bodied, with a full, rich flavor and a hint of sweetness; a prime example of traditional Irish Cheddar.
